Strolling by the river, I was intrigued by the juxtaposition of a bicycle and a parked boat. I installed myself on grass, back against the tree, paper resting on my backpack. Somewhere in the middle of this session two guys showed up and started working on the boat; soon enough they noticed me and got curious about what I might be doing. They really liked the drawing and offered a drink, but my fun-time was over, I had to get back to work. So I just gave the sketch to them, which left me without the original to scan, only the photo I took:
WATERMAN 12 and SCABIOSA for line and J.Herbin’s GRIS NUAGE and a bit of Monteverde’s BLUEBLACK for wash.
