WATERMAN 12

A neat little package arrived today with a vintage fountain pen in it – the WATERMAN 12 that I got from a fellow member ZED at FPN.  Inside, wrapped around the pen, his hand-written note embelished the deal. Special delivery, that is!

Later in the evening I managed to squeeze a quick sketch to try out the nib. And it’s just what I have been searching for – extra fine, but not scratchy, flexible enough to provide solid bold strokes, but not loose to the point that it gets hard to control the hairlines. I did the drawing just by dipping the tip of the nib into CARBON BLACK bottle, as this beauty is an eyedropper and I have yet to learn to fill it without getting the leaks. Luckily, ZED also included two plastic fillers for ED pens. Great service!
